Caed has also been working with the issue of food sovereignty promoting winter kitchen gardening, cropping pattern, fruits and nuts plantation, farmyard manure and soil improvement, raise their voice against local dalits to caste- based untouchability and discriminatory practices in private and public places. Caed advocated for the abolishment of Khalo system in Kathmandu. It has been drawing attention of policy makers, political parties, health agencies, donors, media, civil society and the public in general on SRHR and morbidity problem especially of young people and girls to address it as a public health issue of the country. Caed has helped to empower women, girls and boys  in improving their gender power relation and livelihood through increasing local resource base productivity and enhancing individual and community analytical capability to organize and engage them in civic action around social justice issues they have identified.
